help for persecuted christians
The persecution, torture and murder of Christians and members of other religious groups seems to feature regularly in the news. Many Christians do not experience the freedom to practise their faith that perhaps we do. At times we feel helpless and can only sit back and admire the determination of others who continue to love their neighbours despite suffering atrocities and persecution.
Some of the members of Grace Communion Church, Lisburn have been able to assist in a small way via prayers, lobbying officials to seek release of innocent victims, and by supporting Release International.
Release International is a Christian charity based in Orpington, England. Its purpose is to show God’s compassion by providing for the needs of the families of Christians who are being persecuted or have been imprisoned or killed.
Founded in 1968, Release International also serves persecuted Christians in more than 30 countries around the world by supporting pastors, supplying Christian literature and bibles, and working for justice.
The charity publishes and prints a free bi-monthly, full colour magazine called Release, which you can subscribe to. If you wish to receive the magazine or contribute a donation, please write to PO Box 54, Orpington BR5 9RT England.
